Magnesium lithium alloy:
It is the lowest density of structural metal materials at present. Lithium is added to magnesium metal, which generally contains 14-16% lithium. Its specific gravity is between 1.48-1.52, lower than 1.8 of general magnesium alloy, slightly higher than the density of plastic, with strength of 220 ~ 340MPa and elastic modulus of 40GPa. Large damping, more than ten times that of aluminum alloy, that is, can absorb impact energy, damping and noise reduction effect is good, in shielding electromagnetic interference, magnesium lithium alloy also has outstanding performance.
Titanium alloy:
Titanium alloy can be said to be the upgrade of al-Mg alloy. The main element is still aluminum, but add a trace of titanium to enhance the toughness. Titanium alloy is mainly used in the production of aircraft engine parts, followed by rocket and missile structural parts, and has also been promoted in medical devices, while the use of titanium magnesium alloy as the notebook shell has also infiltrated carbon fiber materials, making the hardness further strengthened. It has obvious advantages such as super high strength and toughness, thinner, better heat dissipation and automatic repair. But the corresponding process is also complex and the cost is very high.
Magnesium aluminum alloy:
If the content of magnesium metal is large, it is called "magnesium aluminum alloy". The main composition of magnesium aluminum alloy is magnesium, accounting for 90%, followed by aluminum accounting for 9%, and another 1% of zinc elements. Magnesium aluminum alloy is mainly used in automobile industry (70%), 3C industry (20%), military and aerospace industry (10%). The advantage of magnesium aluminum alloy lies in good heat dissipation, light weight, strong compressive resistance, good processing, the lowest density of engineering metal; Disadvantage relative to the high cost of al-Mg alloy, forming difficult to add a, poor corrosion resistance.
